The Joy of Spring! There is nothing like those first days of Spring, the warm breeze that blows away the chill in the air, the blossoming cherry trees lining the streets � dropping their petals like pale pink snowflakes, the perky white narcissus popping up in the fields of yellow clover blossoms, and the daffodils lining the pathways and sidewalks with their happy yellow faces.  These are the days when the bike beckons, �take me away from the gloom of winter!� Oh Joy!  We don�t have to pull on full tights, base layer, jersey, jacket, lobster gloves, balaclava, wool socks, and neoprene booties to hit the road like a Michelin man or woman.  We won�t return from a ride begging for a hot bath to thaw our frozen toes.  We will know that that sucker hole (that all too brief break in the clouds that lures us out of our nice warm home and into a deluge of cold, driving rain) is actually not a sucker hole at all.  We can be free � shorts, jersey, bike!  Pure joy!
